I have been giving a lot of thought to Internet Marketing lately, in particular in relation to the economy and what opportunities exist in this volatile market. My second reaction is usually immediate, if not simultaneous. Which goes something like this – a barrage of thoughts including the following…
- Why and how can they make all of these promises when they know they are not true?
- Why do they all seem to make it sound so easy to get rich?
- How come they all say you can or will make millions instead of being more realistic? It isn’t like when I go interview at a job they tell me I COULD make millions in 3 hours of work, but I will be paid 20 dollars an hour to start and will be working 40 hours a week.
- Why are they even telling and selling me instead of being a beach somewhere celebrating their awesomeness? Probably because they are selling me the same dream that is sold over and over again with no real substance or value existing behind it.
Then I tend to get a bit more angry and think things along the lines of…
- I hate you for giving me false hopes of financial freedom.
- How do you live with yourself being so immoral and living a life of lies.
Anyway, you get the idea, and obviously those are the thoughts that invoke the most emotion and overly dominate my reaction, which of course leads me to being angry and pessimistic and rather than taking action, I simply disregard everything related and move on as if I made the best decision of my life.
But this time something was different. This time I decided to make a conscious decision to take a different approach. What could I lose? Well money I guess, if I decide to believe them and buy their product, but so many offer a money back guarantee these days.
